Parenting a Child with Complex Health Needs: Joys and Challenges

Parenting can be challenging and isolating when a child has complex health needs (e.g., requiring neonatal or paediatric intensive care - NICU or PICU). The parents featured in the audio-clips had time to adjust to their child's needs as they were interviewed one to five years after genomic testing.

This resource draws on interviews with parents from the Next Generation Children's project who, one to five years after genomic testing, took part in the follow-up Peregrin Study.

*All parents gave permission to share their audio-clips. Please do not download them, but you are welcome to use the transcripts. Illustrator Karin Eklund has the copyright to the images.
