Until you become a parent, it is hard to know what it will be like, and around you, you often hear worrying tales about the difficulties of sleepless nights and endless crying. But the reality is often not as hard as you might fear. Love and joy that come with parenting, help to cope with the challenges and low points.

I didn't really know what to expect at all about motherhood but if I'm honest it's been a lot easier than I expected. She's, she's been a really chilled out baby, just really exceeded all my expectations about how much I've enjoyed it. Uhm I think when you're pregnant people talk to you a lot about all of the, all of the bad things and how awful the first few weeks are and, and so I think I had all of that in mind and actually she's just been an absolute pleasure. She's, well, especially since she's started smiling and laughing you really sort of see a little personality coming through.

Nothing Stays the Same

One thing to expect from babies like they never stay the same. So, I'm always kind of worried that like, he's seems great now, maybe he will turn bad in the future - or not turn bad, but maybe like cause a lot more headache in the future. But I think for the first few months, I think he's been… I think a lot less work than I expected I think generally, because he doesn't cry all the time. I just remember when I was a baby, that I got sick quite often and that's kind of my main fear I think before my child was born.
