Lack of sleep, and indeed, tiredness was a common theme in parents' narratives. For primary caregivers, lack of sleep is often made worse by the grind of daily care. It's not for nothing that new parents are often advised to accept all offers of help - learning how to ask for help is also important! He Gets Angry

"You don't like tummy time," so yeah, he doesn't like me, 'cause I make him roll on his tummy, I take him for boring walks that he falls asleep, and I'm always taking him in the car to visit family, so he gets angry at that and then he gets angry when I leave. "Waah." He's probably bored with me. "Ooh." He's probably thinking, "Why does she keep putting me on my back?"

The odd time we get a bit desperate when he's just crying and we don't know what, what's going on but - well, he won't go to sleep. And I can, I can kind of see why he won't go to sleep, 'cause everything's so exciting, he just doesn't want to go to sleep and miss it. But it can be really annoying when sometimes we, you know, in the evening, we spend about 45 minutes trying to get him to go to sleep and he's, he kind of, he's fluffing about, fighting it like crazy.
