Between Work and Home

Little things, you know, I'd be driving home from work and stuck in a little bit of traffic and I'd think well it doesn't matter if it's good weather I'll just get there and if we're at standstill do paperwork. Now I think this is cutting into time now with me and her. So yeah, it's completely changed things, she's very, very content. I mean we can lie on the activity mat, even just sit on the bed and just tickle her feet and things like that and we can do that for more or less hours really and she's just very content.

It's an absolute pleasure spending time with her. Um I guess now that I've gone back to work it's even more precious the days we do spend together and I really enjoy my days off with her. Even if we've got nothing planned, I'll just sort of put her in the pram or we'll go and have a coffee in town, going to the library, and it's just lovely seeing her sort of taking everything in. She just started getting into animals and we either go to the local farm or today we went to the garden center to look at the fish, or like the duck pond, and uh I just love seeing how excited she gets.

I feel like we're quite close. I feel like he would come to me. That's something I've worried about from going back to work, that that might change, because I was always the one there and now I'm not so much and will... like I feel it's, it's probably selfish, but it's nice that if he falls over it's me he wants to come to and hug. Yeah, so far that hasn't changed I don't think. There was one time I was feeding him his bedtime milk and he decided he wanted daddy to do it, he kept reaching out and I felt a bit rejected, but it's only happened once. So yeah, we generally pretty close.
